What can I add to this, the very heart of pop music? Reading about this, it did surprise me. It really can be considered a cry for help. John Lennon felt like he had no control over things happening around him. 1965 was the height of the Beatlemania, and the Fab Four couldn’t handle it anymore. Over a year later they announced they wouldn’t do the concerts anymore.
I always thought this single was very special, and would be worth a pretty penny. Turns out it is not. Mine doesn’t even have the original sleeve. I’m so sad.
