The Corries were a Scottish folk duo, well known in the sixties and seventies for their TV show. In it, one could see the Corries performing folk tunes on their custom made instruments, surrounded by a captive and very sixties looking audience. They looked like small fireside chats.
They’re also known for creating the unofficial anthem of Scotland, as sung at every rugby match that has the Scots in it. Flower of Scotland is not on this record though. These are also not live, for the most part. Which is a pity, because The Corries were a lot better before a live audience.
