In an article in the Dutch pop magazine Oor it is mentioned that Kovacs is doing a tour through theaters to promote this album. I mentioned this earlier, but here it is again: she is doing a theater tour, and not a club tour. She is not coming to the pop podia across the country, but seems to cater to a different audience.
This is the third album of the eclectic singer Kovacs. I say eclectic because she is able to sing in many shapes and sizes. Her voice is a bit like Marianne Faithful in her darker years, but also like Amy Winehouse or Shirley Bassey in other moments. There is a lot of colour in each of these songs. The title song is a charming duet with Rammstein’s Till Lindemann, who shows that he can do more subtle things with his voice than the usual shock rock act.
I think this is an undiscovered gem, recommended.
