One can never have enough time (Zeit), so here is another one. Today I’m writing about the album. I bought it a bit later, after I discovered I really like the single I wrote about yesterday. Rammstein planned a tour in 2019, but it was stopped in its tracks by the global pandemic and government’s reactions all over the world. Instead they found time and inspiration to find songs that combine heavy subject material with lighthearted humor.

I think this is Rammstein’s best album in a long time. I’m a fan of the first two albums, but I always thought the long line of albums that came after that were a bit too much guitars and too little synth. Though this album is not really an exception, it is original enough for me to take notice, and buy it.

The picture on the cover is made by singer Bryan Adams. It is the so called Trudelturm (spinning tower) in Berlin, on the site of the former Berlin-Johannisthal commercial airport. It is the site where aviation pioneers found a solution for the dreaded aircraft spin in laboratory conditions. The complex also had a 130 meter long wind tunnel and was built in 1934-1936. It features in the movie Æon Flux.
