This record was a present from an old friend. He got it for me two years earlier, never had the chance to give it to me, and arranged a nice evening with dinner to give it to me. We don’t see each other that often anymore, but I still value his friendship. I notice with many friends from the past that go through the busy phase of their lives that is parenthood, that for a while I lose them. They will stay in my heart though.
I was visiting another friend yesterday, to listen to his record player. I make no secret of my likes and dislikes, so he wanted to show me his Thorens player. He had kept it in a beautiful state, and even though it was aged, it still sounded good. It is nice to enjoy the value of friendship by either sharing or giving records!
