We used to joke that if you are a shitty band but you still want to sell, you make your recordings unavailable. Every so often you release a hand numbered, limited album of one of the titles in your back-catalogue. For extra effect you do that with a signed paper booklet or coloured vinyl. I’ve seen a lot of these for sale, especially in the more remote corners of the musical spectrum.
At first this was one of those. These are insignificant songs, released on a 3 inch, hand numbered and signed CD that was for sale only at a specific concert. The CD contained three songs, with a promise for more. This is the more, and my LP is black and not numbered. Nothing special, but it is a bit short. I have listened a couple of times to this record, and so far it doesn’t touch me. I do admit that happens a lot with this band: it is a bit hit or mis. The hits are vey good and worth the misses, so I’ll keep on trying.
