Stravinsky – Chamber music

Discogs

The Boston Symphony Chamber Players were founded in 1964 out of the Boston Symphony under Erich Leinsdorf. From what I can find they’re more of a live than a studio affair. There are four recordings available on their website, and this is not one of them. Neither is this on streaming. They have planned performances coming up, so they’re alive and kicking.

I read somewhere that the wind section of any orchestra is usually the funniest bunch. Sorry for the string players, they’re kind of diva’s. If you want to have fun, you go to the bar with the wind section. Just last week I had that confirmed by a colleague that is playing trombone. Then again, it is easy for her to say!
