The greatest love

London Grammar’s fourth studio album was released in September 2024. The wiki page didn’t have that much about it, so I tried some AI puzzling. Only to find that it didn’t know it either. I really had to convince what my girlfriend calls “C-bro” that it even existed. C-bro kept insisting it was something some fan made up, or a maybe a bootleg. Only when I told it I held the physical copy in my hand, it admitted its mistake. How do we deal with stubborn AI?

Now that it is finally convinced, it keeps telling me it can create notes on every song, for a little booklet of liner notes. It is a miracle how these things work! I did change the model I was using mid-conversation, so maybe that is the cause: it just didn’t have the updated information yet.

Talk about convinced: I was not by this music. Compared to the debut album, it is just weak. Sure, the voice of Hannah Reid is strong as ever, the music ever so ethereal. But the melodies just are not that captivating as they were on that first release.
