Yes, Voodoo Chile is indeed quite something. Purple Haze too. Nice songs, but a record like this suffers a bit from what all compilations have: it cannot all be good. The is supposed to be the best Jimi had to offer, but sometimes you just want a break between all that goodness.
I don’t have anything else of Jimi though, and I think I should have. Sure, it has aged badly, but it is still nice to listen to every now and then.
