Fragments from very long operas. My guess would be the operas here run for a total of 20 hours. Since that wouldn’t fit on this tiny record, we are presented here with highlights. Presented by a mediocre conductor and brought to you in brilliant mono sound.
I should still have a tape somewhere with better highlights. That one got me and Wagner introduced. I will talk about him more in the future, but for now we have to settle with this. Some fairly well chosen works here, mostly from the later part of Wagners works. And all of it without fat ladies singing, making my girlfriend happy.
This was also the last of the big mono batch that I’m now going to bring to the attic. It was a nice story, but I’m happy to move on to, you know, stereo sound and better quality. Thanks for staying this long!
