I give up. Discogs has left me, Spotify has left me, even google image search is not finding this. Looking for Willi Boskovsky gets me so many results, and they all look like each other. Flowers, dresses and Zuckertorte. In this digital age this is a rarity, and I dare you to prove to me this record exists.
Willi was until 1979 the conductor for the yearly New Years Day performance broadcasted all over Europe. I remember watching it with my father, while he was yelling oh wow! What a conductor! Look at him! He also conducts the audience! (as the conductor was indeed turning his back to the orchestra, and gestured towards the audience).
That might actually have been this conductor, but it also might have been Lorin Maazel, who followed him.
