I just discovered that the cover of this album shows an ear. After all this time the world can still surprise me. The picture at the back is the head of a guitar. So now that I understand the cover, can I proceed to understand the music?

This Vangelis album is one of the many weird ones he made. Wikipedia says it is highly experimental and avant-garde. It sounds like it is recorded on the other end of a glass tube. Maybe that is what it is supposed to do: remind you of tubes. It was inspired by the Centre Pompidou in Paris, that was just built. Centre Pompidou is located in the Beaubourg area of Paris.

Vangelis said himself you can listen to this on the background. If you follow the link to Spotify, I suggest you do that.
