The picture on this album is taken by stroboscope trailblazer Doc ‘Papa Flash’ Edgerton. He was a professor at M.I.T. developing the stroboscope into a useful photographic instrument. The picture is from 1964 and figures in the clip for the song Twilight Zone, the biggest hit on this record. There it shows the risky life of a spy: you can be shot like that.

The song Twilight Zone was inspired by Ludlums book The Bourne Identity, but also by the television series The Twilight Zone. When Cut came out, it didn’t go well with the band, and it was meant as a showstopper. They would go out with a bang. They didn’t, the bang was too big.

Inner sleeve, but not interesting.
