Hits out of hell

After all his problems, Meat Loaf was in need of a little pick-me-up. That is what these best of albums are good for. This one is from 1984, right after his three contractual albums were published. The only interesting song here is actually Modern girl, because that one was published on another label.

Actually, Modern girl came out in the same year, as both a single and on the album Bad attitude. The album was released on Arista records, where Hits out of hell was released by Epic. I find no mention of that, maybe they were friendly at the time.

The Australian version of this compilation also has the song Lost love, which is otherwise not published. That one came out on CD only.
