Good memories. I had a friend from high school. We went to theatres and we went long distance cycling. He loved this song, and we enjoyed singing it together. The song was written by Huub van der Lubbe, who’s voice carries the tune.
Much later, in the time I bought this, I think I tried to catch up all the songs I missed, but knew nevertheless. I remember sitting on the floor of the shop near my house, browsing through the records put there. Sheet music had the best place in that shop, the singles and records came a distant second. As a result I had to sit on the floor.
I collected some beauties during that time. It might also have to do with my lonely time: I just moved to Amsterdam a few months before, and didn’t have that many friends. Nostalgia was creeping up on me.
