For A Bach Kantate, this work is unusually long. It is also a bit of a mix of earlier fragments, put together for the third Sunday after Trinitatis in 1714. The text is full of emotion and sadness: ‘My heart was deeply troubled’.
One of the few cantatas I have from a different performer. Most of them are from one series, this is another. I must say I like this one better.
