It’s a pity this song has become so popular with soft pop stations all over the world. It actually is not a bad song. The saxophone solo at the start is epic, the lyrics are well written. Though George Michael didn’t like it. He thought the lyrics were too simple, and he was appalled by the popularity of the song. For him it was a disillusion as a writer.
