This is the second time I have this work: ballet music by Tchaikovsky. I think his operas are better, but his ballet music is better known. And yes, it is quite beautiful. So why don’t I have a better recording of them? Good question.

I could hide behind the fact that these records are the first choice for any label specialised in light classical music. A genre that isn’t known for its superb performances. But the truth is I just give it much attention. I think it is because it is just too well known. This is sing along music. And somehow that never went down well with me.
