The first single coming from the 1977 eighteenth (!) album of the country star Dolly Parton flopped totally that year. It went for a retrial as the B-side of its former A-side Applejack, and flopped again. In 1983 it was published again and reached number 1 in the Dutch charts. Which is probably why I know it.
Patron’s eighteenth album New harvest… first gathering was the first she produced herself. Up to this point her albums were co-produced with scary guy Porter Wagoner. For all her talents, it took her all this time to get from under his wings, and if you look at the album cover: she’s not behind the wheel.
