The most sexy song on the most popular album of Bruce Springsteen. Everything in this song breathes rock ‘n’ roll desire. Supposedly the Boss made it almost as improvisation during an early recording session for the album. It came out some years later as the fourth single of the album.
The accompanying video shows Springsteen as a car mechanic, taking care of a classic Ford Thunderbird, owned by an unseen married woman looking for an affair. He is shown doubting if he should start it, when he gets the keys not only of her car, but also to her house.
