The first single from Dolly Parton’s nineteenth (!) album of the same name. The album as a whole, but certainly this song, was a serious attempt to bridge the gap between pop and country. It was also one of the few of her hits that were not written by her.
I actually like the b-side better. Me and Little Andy is just a cute song. I probably bought the record because I knew the song, nothing more. Back in those days I just bought whatever I knew and could get my hands on. Still no streaming in those days!
