The second part of the concert recordings by Joan Baez in 1963. Later CD issues of this album had previously dropped material included: the original record ended after the Battle hymn of the Republic. I think that song is one of the best versions of the anthem I’ve ever heard.
These were also the years that she was with Bob Dylan. I think her first couple of years were the best. After the two In concert albums there were some studio recordings with like material, but after that she went all gospel. It didn’t suit her voice I think, also I just don’t like it. So let’s enjoy Joan while she’s still good.
