Head over heels

Similar music to the post I wrote yesterday. Cocteau Twins come from Scotland, and formed in 1979. This is the second album, from 1983. It can be seen as both the start of dream-pop and that most funnily named of all genres: shoegaze.

The band broke up in 1997 because the lead singer Elizabeth Fraser didn’t want to be on stage with her former lover and guitarist of the band Robin Guthrie. They tried to reform in 2005, but the project was cancelled again, for the same reason. Even though there was a tour planned that was going to pay them out for over a million pound.
