Progrock musician Heinz Strobl was born in Austria, in 1952. As a musician he calls himself Gandalf, after the famous wizard from Tolkien’s imagination. After starting in 1981, Tale is from 1984 and is already his sixth album. This year he published his 40th album. I already wrote about his 7th album, The universal play.
In my younger years I was listening to a lot of dreamy stuff, new age music. This was one of those. I recorded it from a record at the library and listened to it when I had the time to really listen to it. That way it was always fresh. Listening to it now brings me back to those years. Years of yoga, tarot reading and astrology, all accompanied with the smell of incense.
