This is Queen’s eighth studio album, and commercially their most successful. It came out in 1980, years after what is generally considered their best album: a night at the opera. Queen was formed in London 1970 on the initiative of Freddie Mercury. To be more accurate: Farrokh Bulsara from Zanzibar told his friends from the band Smile to experiment a bit more. He joined, proposed a name change and Queen was born.
Something I already mentioned earlier is that the big hit of this record was considered for the title song of the film Rocky III. That honour eventually befell Eye of the tiger.
