French pianist Jean Martin was a specialist in the romantic repertoire, mostly of Schuman. Around 1970 he was part of the Trio Delta, here called the Trio Jean Martin (did the other two members agree with that name?).
This is a record from Arion. I’m mentioning that, because somehow I think there is something wrong with these. I cannot get over it: they all sound a bit stale. The recordings are just not as sparkling as they could have been. There are more coming (spoilers!), and they sound a bit flat. It is as if the dust settled a bit on it.
