The White Buffalo is the stage name of Jake Smith, an American singer-songwriter with an impressive baritone voice. He sings in a mix of folk and Americana, and was made popular by featuring in several TV series, like Sons of Anarchy. And that’s how I know him.
I saw him at a concert in Tilburg in 2022, and I was underwhelmed. Tilburg is not close, so I had to travel for it. Naturally, my expectations were high, and he just didn’t deliver. After that I didn’t listen to the records anymore. Listening to it now, I have to correct that mistake: he is good, and this is nice music. Just not so much live, apparently.
