This is a compilation album of the best Austrian band EAV had to offer in its first years. I wrote earlier that they got their name from an insurance company called Erste Allgemeine Versichering AG. Founders Nino Holm and Thomas Spitzer saw the name at a busstop, and decided to make a pun of it. They chose a name that means the reverse: First General Insurance became First General UnInsurance. Years later the original company tried to sue the band for infringement, but thought better of it: the band was just too popular. Instead they decided to sponsor it.
From the single I only knew two songs, so this record gives me much more. I actually ordered it from a company in Germany, and this one was released in the former GDR, Eastern Germany. During the eighties there was a vibrant alternative scene in the GDR, and EAV was big in the alternative clubs.
