The third of these might be one of Bach’s most famous works. It was published and offered to the Margrave of Brandenburg-Schwedt in 1721, but the compositions are appearing in earlier works. The start is the most famous, but the whole collection is considered one of the highlights of the baroque.
This is also Bach at his most accessible. It is a good start if you’re interested. That might also be the reason for its popularity. On Spotify for this particular recording, it seems that people are more interested in number 2, though relatively unknown. Are listeners trying, and then slowly dwindling away?
The picture at the back is something else. Imagine the poor cembalo player all the way at the left, or what I think should be the first violinist at the right. It looks like they have to bend their necks to get in the picture. And how serious everybody is looking. Also, I highly doubt this is the recording venue, though it looks really nice.
