Rapsodies. I never realised, but the album I have was not available outside of Greece. It has appeared only on cd in most countries. I know I just bought it and I wasn’t in Greece. Fooled the system!

I think this is one of the best Vangelis albums around. It also has a beautiful cover, so it is scoring on points. Like the album I wrote about yesterday, it uses a guest singer for vocals, which I think really adds something extra to the music. It also has a modern Greek rendition of the Song of Songs, and any record that has that piece of Bible insurgency is a winner in my book.

Spotify has the titles translated, and in that it follows the titles on the 2007 re-issue of the album. Vangelis has a weird habit of changing the tracks themselves on a per publication basis. Every different pressing can hold different versions of his songs. Yes, he is an endless source of fun for collectors. The wiki page mentions distortions on the early versions, which the re-issue took care of. Done by Vangelis, so now I think I should hear it to compare.

My record comes from Greece, so it has the Greek letters, also for the track titles. In my administration I have those in Latin alphabet. How did I do that?
