Reading the liner notes on this record, I get the feeling it didn’t go well with metal in England in 1989. This collection is supposed to be rescuing the metal bands from England. 22 bands are presented here, but none of them really stand out. It’s not bad, don’t get me wrong. It is just that the way they are presented here.
I found this record, and the next few ones, in a shop in the centre of The Hague. I think that was the only time I was actually there, and I doubt the shop still exists. My administration just says ‘Spui’, and not the name of the shop. Whoever you were… thanks.
