A beautiful gatefold album, in the same style as their first album. So it has one 33 rpm and one 45 rpm. The 33 rpm contains reworkings of songs from their previous two albums, with added vocals by guest musicians. What we now would call remixes I guess.
I think this suffers from what most remix albums have: the originals were good, so why create these different versions? For the musicians it must have been nice to invite some friends over for a dub session, but keep it in the house please. Don’t scare the neighbours.
The extra 45 rpm contains what I consider normal versions of known hits, so that one is okay. I remember this one did not come cheap, and I see the price on Discogs is actually lower than what I paid. A rare mistake.
