It looks like this is the cheapest record in my collection. With just one cent, I don’t think it can get any lower. The nice cover from the Dutch version is not here, but I suppose this general cbs cover is much authentic.
Jeff Wayne wrote this originally as a jingle for a Lego commercial, with the duo Vigrass and Osborne. When he needed a love tune for War of the Worlds, he decided to add this melody. It had moderate success before in Japan, so the rest of the world didn’t know it.
Justin Hayward is from the Moody Blues. Wayne wanted the voice of Nights in white satin, and got it.
