For 1978 Kiss and their manager were looking for ways to grow. To that end, each of the four members made a solo album, and all four were featuring in their own film. The film was not a success, the albums were… also not. Paul Stanley’s album is very much in the style of Kiss.
That is to be expected I suppose. Paul Stanley has written most of Kiss’ songs after all. The solo albums of the other band members were very different in style, including R&B and Britpop.
The four solo albums were all published on September 18 1978All of the albums were pressed in very ambitious quantities. I wonder if that is the reason mine is an American version: it was not needed to make these anywhere else.
