Sometimes I get distracted by a red herring. When I saw the title of this album what followed to “wow, that is cheesy” in my mind was “wait… that sounds like Born to be wild, the Steppenwolf song. I would shove that thought to the place where it was coming from, if it were not for the fact that both are from 1968. If that peaks your interest, I’m with you.
So is there a connection? I highly doubt it. I checked the most obvious sources, and nothing popped up. I remember there was a website that allowed you to check how many steps there were between different bands or artists. I cannot find it anymore, it would have helped out here. Let’s assume it is just a silly thought.
I was listening to this record when my gf came in the room. She heard me play the Christmas song at the end and looked at me with wondering eyes. Don’t you know it is Christmas?
