The Roman trio Santoliquido was formed in 1942. I suppose it was named after the pianist Ornella Puliti Santoliquido, but there was also a composer with that name. No trios from him though, so I go for my earlier statement.
I couldn’t find much more about this trio, but they sound okay. This must be the first piano trio in my collection, but many more will follow. Beethoven trios can be quite a study, and I think they’re worth a listen. Unfortunately I couldn’t find this recording on Spotify.
The record is terribly damaged by Knosti. And sometimes the noise of the remains of the cleaning fluid sound louder than the music itself. I see there are more like this coming up, so back to the cleaning machine!
