The link to Spotify shows a version from Rocky IV, but the song was featured first, including tiger growls, in its predecessor. It came out in 1982, commissioned by Rocky start Sylvester Stallone. Queen had denied him the rights to use Another one bites the dust, so he was looking for a replacement. As a second choice, this was quite successful.
Survivor was formed in Chicago, 1978 around Jim Peterik. Peterik was called Survivor in the liner notes on one of his earlier bands. I believe the other songs the band made are not bad. It is just this put it all in its shadow.
