In an episode of the popular news show Lubach there was an item about the ever present phrase: guilty pleasure. I don’t know how it is internationally, but in my country it is overused. And many times in situations where it doesn’t really count. It should refer to something you don’t want to admit you like. But lately it has been used in a much wider context: as an excuse for your taste. The question that was asked in the show was why people are using it this way, especially on social media.
