I admit to be a fan of this band. But even I can distinguish between what is good and what is better. I think this is by far VNV Nation’s best album in years. For that reason, in the short time of its existence (it came out last May) I’ve already listened to it a record number of times (yes, my streamer has counters).

No idea what it means, but a little positivity about technical achievements can do no wrong. That is one side of the vision of Ronan Harris, the singer. The other side is almost diametrically opposed: a very personal attitude towards character in the face of adversity. Like in the incredible Nothing more. I think it is these two opposites that speak to me, again and again.
