Another Record Store Day, this time loot from 2025. Read by all time favourite David Tennant, this was published after the last television episode of the tenth Doctor. Last voyage is a story about an invention is space travel that runs on different realities as a propellent. If this sounds like Hitchhiker’s guide to the Galaxy, wait until you’ve heard the story yourself.
For those that read my blog and still haven’t checked it out themselves: Doctor Who is the longest running scifi series in existence. That is, if you count long times of temporary hiatus, and don’t bother about changes in actors, writers and practically everything except the story itself. At the core, it is about a time traveling alien with a special interest in earth. The biggest invention in the series came after some years of running: when the first Doctor decided to quit, he had to be replaced. So the BBC decided to just regenerate him, and give him a new face. Basically: out with the old, in with the new.
As a result the Doctor has been portrayed by many actors over time, and they are counted. The last generation was the fourteenth. When I was young it was the 4th, Tom Baker. I’m guessing for my generation (oh… pun!) he was most popular, but after restarting the series after a long hiatus in 2004, David Tennant is considered the best Doctor ever.
