Classical Hollywood. A mix between musical and film. Sung by Howard Keel, Ann Blyth, Dolores Gray and Vic Damone, what more can anyone ask? This is the high times of Hollywood, and it sounds like that. It is a special record in my collection, and I’m still happy with it. It took me a while to get used to though.
I have no idea why I bought this. I think it was a mistake, but it turned out to be a nice one.
Baubles, Bangles And Beads still triggers good memories. It was used a lot in the first dancing school I went to. The first time I heard it there I was energised by this sudden recognition: hey! I know this record (something that never happened). It was as old as the school itself, so I have to say: it fitted. The whole place was a bit like that. Former glory, now gone. It was in someones living room basically, and although they did a nice job on the place, it was always a bit… weird. But as I said, good memories.
