Baroque lute recital

The first record of Toyohiko Satoh, on his way to becoming a world renowned lutenist. The liner notes include a picture of him at a young age. He died in 2004, after a long career advocating the historical informed performance. He taught at the music conservatory in The Hague.

The recording is superb. Since this is also a library record, I wonder how they got a hold of it. It is an American pressing.

Nice works by Robert de Visée and Sylvius Leoplod Weiss both important composers for the lute. And Bach, always Bach.
