I have always considered this the best album of Kiss. It might be because of the most famous single they ever made is from this album: I was made for loving you. The rest of the album is of very inconsistent quality though. It also seems more like an amalgam of individual contributions than a group effort.

The band’s drummer Peter Criss had either a problem with his drumming because of a car accident the year before, or because of drugs and alcohol abuse.

For a rock band I found this rather odd, but maybe it was more a sign of the times in the seventies
