I just love the cover of this record. It might have been my reason for buying it, because I usually don’t like Telemann that much. Do judge an album by its cover though, as this is a nice recording. Again flute, was I in the mood for flute at this time?
Four partitas for recorder, transverse flute and basso continue, also called Die kleine Kammermusik. For me the interesting part about this record is the viola da gamba player Jean-Luis Charbonnier. He was studying under Spanish early music specialist Jordi Savall, and taught Gerard Depardieu to play the instrument for the film Tous les matins du monde (yes, I mentioned that film earlier).
