Singer Florence Welch has said in an interview about the name of the band that it started as a joke. She used to play music with a friend, and they called each other Robot and Machine. Florence was the Robot, Isa the Machine. And here she’s singing about a man.
Another record from Record Store Day. These last years there is a lot of critique on RSD, becuase of the exorbitant prices. Not so much in 2015. I got some real beauties, lots of nice coloured vinyl. I know that some people scoff at those things, but I like it. Every time I take one of those out of the sleeve i’m surprised, because I forgot it was actually coloured vinyl. Where I am expecting pitch black, I’m confronted with beautiful clour, in this case light blue.
