Corelli – Concerto pour la nuit de Noëlël-La-Notte

Not on streaming, not a surprise, and nothing lost. This is a bad recording. It might be the performance is okay, but I cannot hear it through all the rubbish. As good as yesterday’s record was (also Corelli), so bad is this. Do I have this one for the nice cover?

Rudolf Barshai was a Russian violinist and conductor. He acquired fame for his performances of Shostakovich and Prokofiev. Maybe therein lies the problem: this is totally different work. Conductors that are good in more modern works are seldom worth the effort for the older stuff.

Or it might be it is the bad state of my copy, who can tell.
