Bots were a Dutch band, playing leftist activist folk rock. They formed in the 70s around BOnkie BongaerTS and Bertus Borgers (too many B’s!). Singer Hans Sanders, a social worker in Eindhoven joined the band later. They are probably best known for their rendition of a drinking song from Brittany called (in Dutch) Zeven dagen lang. Like all their songs, they made that one into a political statement, where the original was just a drinking song.
This famous song is not on this, their third record. The songs that are there are not bad. They have a 70s vibe all over it, a bit amateur and simple, but straight and honest. There should be a sheet included with the lyrics, but it is not there. Anyway, since this is Dutch, I have no problem to follow it (which I sometimes do have with English).
