Mozart – Requiem

It must have been around this time I was participating in listening sessions with a small group of like minded enthousiasts. I knew them from my studies, I found out they were just as interested in classical music as I am. Each of us brought two or three records, and then we listened to them.

I got this record as a present from one of them. I didn’t have it yet, but I heard it before. And I already was a fanboy of the label and the performers. This recording didn’t disappoint at all. I heard many recordings after this, but none of them was as light and at the same time profound as this one.

I once read somewhere that to enjoy reminiscing means you want to repeat the moment. I do enjoy the memory of those listening sessions.
